Dr. Daniel Liebertz grew up in the Pacific Northwest in Beaverton, Oregon, just outside Portland. He moved to California for college, attending Santa Clara University. At Santa Clara University, he excelled at his studies, completing two full degrees in only four years. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with an emphasis in sculpture and a Bachelor of Science in Biology.
The journey to excellence in facial plastic surgery
After college, he remained in the Bay Area, working various jobs in graphic design and biotechnology until he made the decision to attend medical school. Although becoming a physician was always in the back of his mind, he wanted to be sure that he wanted to dedicate his time – and his life – to a profession he knew would be all-consuming.
He then relocated to Los Angeles and received his Doctor of Medicine from the prestigious Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. After a highly productive research year investigating the body’s immune response to head and neck cancer, he completed an Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery residency at Wayne State University in Michigan.
Following residency, Dr. Liebertz was selected as one of only 46 surgeons worldwide for further subspecialty fellowship training in Advanced Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Emory University in Atlanta. He was extensively trained by world-renowned facial plastic surgeons, including one of the founders of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Since his fellowship training, he has further refined the expert techniques to specialize in facelifts, neck lifts, mini lifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, and advanced training in facial injectables like BOTOX and dermal fillers.
